When two tiles with the same number collide, they merge into one with double value (2+2=4, 4+4=8... 2048!).
Keep making moves with merges. Five total merges in that sequence trigger FEVER: 2× merge points, or 3× in PARTY. A move without a merge breaks the sequence.

In CLASSIC, HARD and PARTY you can continue past 2048 toward 4096 or 8192. SPEEDRUN ends when you reach 2048. Timed modes still apply their time limit.
